Print file information

We recommend that you supply RGB or CMYK print files as follows:

Epson aqueous pigment

RGB - 8BIT TIFF or 16BIT TIFF - with embedded profiles - AdobeRGB98

CMYK - 8BIT TIFF or 16BIT TIFF - with embedded profiles - ISO coated v2 (FOGRA39) or PSO coated v3 (FOGRA51)

Roland LED-UV

RGB - 8BIT TIFF or PDF - with embedded profiles - AdobeRGB98

CMYK - 8BIT TIFF or PDF - with embedded profiles - ISO coated v2 (FOGRA39) or PSO coated v3 (FOGRA51)

Choose 1 of the following rendering intents

Vector = Relative Colorimetric = Produces more accurate colours than perceptual: good for images that contain specific colours such as those used by organisations or brands.

Raster = Perceptual = Converts the colour to look natural to the human eye: good for photographic images.

Note that the above rendering intents are a guide, choose one that gives you the look that you like: neither is "correct" or better than the other.

Alternative colour spaces

We can print sRGB images or other colour spaces and file types: pdf, jpeg, etc.

Soft proofing

Use the settings above and choose a media simulation profile that matches, or is similar to your intended physical print.

Epson aqueous pigment

Our 10 colour pigment ink printer prints onto coated media up to (44") 1100mm wide.

Roland LED-UV

Configured with white ink, our UV printer can print onto coated and uncoated media up to (64") 1600mm wide.

3 layer printing: CMYK-White-CMYK

White ink can be used to print an entire image or in conjunction with other colours.

Sandwiched between two colour layers, white ink ensures good opacity and strong colours for double sided images printed on clear media.

We use 2 RIPs: Roland VersaWorks and ColorGATE Productionserver 23.

44" Epson SureColor P9000 aqueous pigment ink printer.

64" Roland LEC2-640 UV printer with white ink.

67" Fotoba XLD 170 WP.

64" Summa S2 Class Tangential cutter.

Our colour management monitors are EIZO ColorEdge.

We create ICC profiles with our X-Rite i1 Pro3+ spectrophotometer.
